Welcome to my office!

Interests

I am specialized in the development, implementation, and application of seismic reflection imaging and inversion methods. For many years, I have been working on the so-called Common-Reflection-Surface (CRS) stack technology. This technology detects, parameterizes, and stacks seismic reflection events in seismic prestack data using a set of kinematic wavefield attributes. The latter provide superior input to various subsequent processes like the inversion for the subsurface distribution of propagation velocities. In addition, I have been working on so-called Seismic Image Waves which describe the propagation of hypothetical waves as a function of velocity or acquisition geometry. Such waves allow to continuously vary these propagation variables to transform seismic images. For details on both topics, please refer to my list of publications.

Geophysical Consulting

Since May 2014, I am offering geophysical consulting services as an independent professional. My focus is on research and development of imaging and inversion in close cooperation with the clients. Please note that I am not offering any data processing or selling software licenses! Any development will be the sole property of the client, unless there are any explicit agreements to share the results with third parties.

Please do not hesitate do contact me for any project you might have in mind. I looking forward to receiving your ideas!
